How FROTH actually burns
Official copy from froth.meme/burn plus the older Flow token economy. This page is the community translation — verify the contracts before you trust a number.
01
A trade happens
On a curve, on FrothSwap, or on the new launchpad pool. Every swap carries a fee. Part of that fee is earmarked for FROTH.
02
WETH stacks in a furnace
FrothBurner takes 5% of the 1% curve fee. TokenBurner takes the FROTH-burn leg from DEX pairs. The new pad and Punch each send 10% of fees to the buy-and-burn lane.
03
Threshold clears, FROTH is bought
No tweet, no clock. When the on-chain threshold is met, the furnace swaps WETH for FROTH on FrothSwap in a single transaction.
04
Tokens hit 0xdead
The OFT on Robinhood Chain is sent to the dead address. That permanently strands canonical FROTH in the Flow bridge lockbox. Supply only goes down.
What is not a protocol burn
The ledger keeps four piles separate on purpose:
- OFT grave — Robinhood + Base 0xdead. This is the flywheel. Matching canonical FROTH is stranded in the Flow lockbox 1:1. Do not add lockbox + grave.
- Flow grave — canonical FROTH already sent to 0xdead on Flow. Still inside totalSupply. Almost all of it arrived in one transfer, not the current furnaces.
- Destroyed — genesis minus Flow totalSupply. Tokens that actually left the cap.
- Locks — FVIX on Flow and KONA on Abstract hold FROTH. Locked is not burned. KONA minting from FROTH stopped in June 2026.
Fee split on curve trades
Every curve trade pays 1%. That 1% is split on-chain by the FeeDistributor:
- TWAP lottery pool50%
- Team30%
- Creator15%
- FrothBurner5%
New launchpad + Punch
The rebuilt pad on Robinhood Chain and Base opens a Uniswap v4 pool from day one. Official docs currently split each swap fee 60% creator, 20% protocol, 10% FROTH buy-and-burn, 10% credit. Punch markets take 10% of generated fees into the same native-FROTH buyback. When BurningFroth launches there, that 10% is one more furnace feeding this ledger.
FVIX on Flow
Canonical FROTH launched on Flow EVM through KittyPunch’s old Trenches pad. 10,000 FROTH still converts to 1 FVIX. Converted tokens are locked, not circulating. Protocol buybacks have burned more than 2,853 FVIX; that buyback is paused while Flow recovers from the December 2025 incident.
KONA on Abstract
Most Abstract FROTH sits in the KONA contract as backing, similar to FVIX. That is a lock. A smaller pile sits in 0xdead on Abstract. Neither number is the Robinhood OFT flywheel, and neither should be added to Flow totalSupply.
